Nutribullet - Meet My New Favourite Thing!

Nutribullet Recipes

I'm probably quite late to the Nutribullet party, the world and his wife has one! It seems like these days I can't scroll through Twitter, Pinterest, or Bloglovin without seeing an exciting array of colourful Nutriblast recipes (this is what you call the smoothies you make with your Nutribullet, keep up), so I was insanely happy when Nutribullet sent me my very own one! The health benefits of using one of these magical blenders come from their ability to break down the cell walls of fruits and vegetables - they can pulverise stems, seeds and skins so you get the most possible nutrition - more fibre and more vitamins. Not all blenders can do this.

It's also really exciting to make a smoothie every morning. Does this sound lame? I love going to the fridge and choosing what I'm going to add, getting all experimental and adventurous. Today I had this enticing mix (above) of blueberries, avocado, black grapes, banana, strawberries and pear. I added chia seeds, a milled mix of flax seeds, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds, and some coconut milk. It's so easy to do, just pop everything in the cup provided, screw on the top, and place the cup upside down on the bullet. You press down on the cup for it to blend, and take your hand off for it to stop. It's all so quick, and you don't even need to do as much chopping as I did - you can whack in whole strawbs or half a banana, even a pear with skin and all, and the job will be done.

This smoothie worked so well, and I'm also loving making dark green ones with spinach, kale and spriulina, sweetened with fresh pineapple and almond milk. I can't wait to try making my ultimate fave smoothie which I had in a cafe in Edinburgh - coconut water, peanut butter, and fresh summer berries. It sounds weird but is AMAZING! Smoothies are an easy, fun way to get a lot of nutrients in you, and Nutibullet makes sure you get all the good stuff. But it's not limited to smoothies - Nutribullet can also make soups, sauces, dressings and dips. It comes with a separate milling blade you can use for making flour, milling seeds, or even grinding down nuts for nut butter. I can't wait to make some hummus!

Whereas other blenders I've had in the past have taken up too much kitchen space and been so hard to clean they've made me lose interest in using them, the Nutribullet is so small it just tucks away nicely in a corner, and the blade is rinsed clean in an instant. The cup is washed up straight after use, and bob's your uncle. I'm probably going to become a Nutribullet bore and put more Nutriblast pictures on my Instagram and Pinterest. But I'm giving you fair warning! If you have any fave recipes let me know in the comments! x

Nutribullet gifted me this amazingness! All words and opinions are my own.
