Healthy Drinks And Juices

Healthy Drinks Juice Liquid Diet

There's a whole plethora of drinks on the market aimed at enhancing beauty and making skin glow, as well as reviving and refreshing the vitamin-deprived. Health drinks are not just for gym bunnies and those with hangovers, they're just the thing for busy people who want to squeeze some extra nutrients in. I'm such a fan of the Plenish range - cold-pressed juices packed full of fibre and healthy ingredients. This one (above) is my fave; pineapple, apple, mint and aloe vera. It's so fresh and juicy, and contains vitamins A and C; perfect for healthy hair and skin.

Birch Water

Coconut water is so 2013, it's all about birch water now. Just kidding, you can choose whichever water you want, when you want - and between you and I: coconut water is one of my top hangover cures (just make sure you always buy brands that come in clear bottles. One time I had a carton of Vita Coco that had rotting coconut at the bottom, I found it after drinking the WHOLE thing! *shudder*). Birch water is actually the sap from birch trees, harvested once a year. It's said to reduce cholesterol, support kidney function in eliminating toxins, and has anti-inflammoratry properties - making it ideal for those wanting clear skin. Tapped has no added sugar and comes in original or in two flavours. I tried the Bilberry and Lingonberry one (above), made with berries known for their beautifying and anti-aging properties. It's also got grape juice, so it tasted more juicy than birch-watery, if that makes sense. But birch water to me is, like coconut water, a nice, if slightly odd-tasting, water.

Whilst birch water is a hit with the healthy crowd, Beauty & Go drinks (above) are aimed squarely at making your skin look its youthful best. Packed with ingredients like hyaluronic acid and green tea extract, the range includes options for detoxing, regenerating, and strengthening the skin to give maximum vitality and luminosity. Gluten-free, and sweetened with stevia instead of sugar, they make a healthy alternative to a sweet afternoon treat.

Dairy Free Chocolate Milk

When you're craving chocolate but trying to reduce your fat intake, having that cocoa hit in milk form is an age-old trick of slender celebrities. Dairy-free and sugar-free chocolate milks make it even easier to get a healthy hit of the choc. I really like Mylk from Rebel Kitchen, especially the child-sized chocolate-orange one, god it's good! But the full-size original is really smooth - made from coconut milk and cacao (healthier than cocoa), and with no refined sugar whatsoever. The most decadent chocolate milk is from The Living Food Kitchen, a blend of water, almonds, dates and cacao. With a short shelf-life as it's completely raw and unpasteurised, it's slightly bitter, like drinking dark chocolate, but it will banish any sweet cravings in an instant.
