Simple Skincare Haul

Simple Skincare Haul -

Last week I joined a group of bloggers for the Simple Skincare event at the gorgeous Ham Yard Hotel. We were talked through the benefits of using products that aren't coloured or perfumed, and how to generally be really kind to your skin. Mantras of drinking plenty of water, taking your makeup off before bed, avoiding stress and too much sugar, and getting enough sleep were all turned into a fun art project (my write-up of the event explains what the heck this means). Everyone was given a huge haul of Simple Skincare, and although I've used the Skin Cleansing Wipes to remove eye-makeup for years, I've not used anything else since teendom. I've loved getting reacquainted with this brand, and I'm hugely impressed with the results thus far.

Simple Skincare Cleanse Tone Moisturise -

As a teen I cleansed, toned and moisturised religiously, but over the years I started shunning cleansing lotions for facial washes - and more recently I cannot get OVER the amazing results of the Clarisonic face brush. I tried using the Purifying Cleansing Lotion, Soothing Toner and Hydrating Light Moisturiser at night instead of a facial wash, and I am blown away by how clean and soft they leave my skin. I thought that they wouldn't get makeup off enough, but they really do, and my skin is still as soft as butter come morning (a result that not even some of my high-end night creams give). I also tried using the Refreshing Gel Facial Wash before the cleansing lotion; the soap-free formula is not in the least bit drying. In the mornings I've used the Moisturising Facial Wash with my Clarisonic, and they are the perfect pairing for getting my skin clean and soft, ready to apply moisturiser and makeup. Yesterday a makeup artist said "your skin is SO smooth!" - before Simple such words were never uttered.

Simple Skincare Face Mask BB Cream -

I've talked about my problem skin in the past, and I am always looking for the perfect deep cleansing mask to clear my congested pores without drying out my skin. There are few I'm pleased with right now, and Simple's will definitely join this list. I used it after the Oil Balancing Scrub, which was also gentle but effective. My face has been quite radiant with the cleansing and moisturising basics alone, but the Illuminating Radiance Cream and BB Cream have added extra glow. This has been a huge eye-opener for me in seeing that you don't have to use the most expensive and fancy brands to get good results, and that being kind to your skin is the bottom line in protecting and nourishing it. If you buy one thing from this range I would recommend the Light Moisturiser in a heartbeat, it's also doubled up as an amazing hand-cream, perfect for this wretched winter weather. I'm keen to try Simple's Spotless range for blemishes, and pretty much everything they do. Have a look at their #AboutFace hashtag to see what everyone else has been loving about Simple in January. Do you love Simple? What else would you recommend from this range, or for soft skin in general? Let me know in the comments below.
