Funkin Cocktails With Face Addict Hair Junkie

Face Addict Hair Junkie are a seriously cool collective of hair and make-up experts, providing strong looks for festivals, magazine editorial and other media. Getting made over by them is called getting FAHJ'ed, and they are particularly known for their smoky eye and 'sex blowout' hair. When they teamed up with Funkin Cocktails for their press launch I knew this was going to be something special. 

The event took place at the mad-as-a-box-of-spanners King's Head in Haggerston. Formerly an East End boozer, this is now a private members club that you have to be buzzed in to. It retains its Victorian pub charm whilst also managing to be opulent, quirky, and hipstery. DJs from Hoxton FM were live on air in one corner, whilst pastel-haired girls sat and chatted in booths. 

Upstairs Funkin had set up a bar of their own, with two yummeh cocktails on offer from their range. The fruity Berry Smash, and the creamy Pina Colada. Both so summery and delicious! 

Face Addict Hair Junkie had set up camp with a seemingly endless supply of Mac Cosmetics and TIGI hair products. I couldn't wait to get FAHJ'ed! 

The truly stunning Alexia sat me down to do my smoky eye. I wanted her to replicate her own black eyeshadow look, but she convinced me to try an olive metallic to bring out the green in my hazel eyes. I'm glad I tried it because it looked amazing! I also tried spray-on foundation for the first time, which was a lot thicker than I'd usually go for, but did make my skin look flawless. 

Whilst everyone got thoroughly FAHJ'ed we had Funkin cocktails, gorgeous cupcakes, and waited for an immense burlesque and drag queen show.
