Ganache Macaron

Ganache Macaron

Ah, macarons. The most colourful and scrumptious of all the meringue-based sweets out there. They are hands down my favourite French food, with baguettes and fries coming in second and third place (I'm vegetarian and don't like Brie). Imagine my sheer delight when Ganache Macaron sent me a box of their gorgeous spring range to try! The receptionist at work acccused me of ordering a very fancy snack, and when I explained that they were a gift, he was jealous. Especially when I didn't share them.

These pretty pastel hued confections are stunning to look at. The colours are fantastic! They arrived wrapped in hot pink tissue with a Ganache Macaron label, and would make a fantastic gift to brighten someone's day (though accusations of being highfalutin from work colleagues are a possibility). I had been given banana & white chocolate, blackcurrant & blackerry, and peach flavours to try.

The texture was unbelievable! Mouthwateringly crisp outer layer, and a rich, creamy centre. I could smell the fruit flavours straight away, and they tasted fresh and juicy! Thanks, Ganache Macaron for this lovely gift! These would make a lovely Easter Egg alternative, but a box of colourful macarons are the ultimate pick me up anytime - millions of fancy French people can't be wrong.

Ganache Macaron will be at the Taste of London Festival 18-22 June in Regent's Park.
