Merumaya Retinol Resurfacing Treatment

Merumaya Retinol Acne Scarring

We need to talk about Merumaya's Retinol Resurfacing Treatment. I've been vocal on the blog about my adult-acne scarring and the treatments I've been asked to review that can help combat this. I've also got uneven skin pigmentation from sun damage, and to top it all off I still get spots like a blumming teenager. I really like Merumaya as a brand because their products address both skin-ageing and blemishes, making them ideal for those who happen to be tackling both problems simultaneously. For me, my mission is to protect my skin from the sun as much as possible from now on, and to work on making my skin more even in texture and tone, that's all I want - I'm not even bothered about the laughter lines and the odd spot.

I've been using Merumaya's Retinol Resurfacing Treatment for a month now as my night cream, and I am blown away with the results. For full disclosure, I should add that two weeks ago I also had a laser treatment at Sarah Chapman that I was invited to review, and that's definitely helped boost my skin, but even before this I could feel a difference straight away with the resurfacing treatment. It's made my skin so incredibly soft, especially the bits that aren't scarred - they look so clear and bright. This kind of makes me sad that my whole face isn't like this, but this treatment alone is not a miracle worker, I'm not going to tell you that my scarring has vanished. This is definitely a mighty treatment though, containing the maximum permitted concentration of Retinol (vitamin A) that's suitable even for sensitive skins. It works to boost cell turnover, peeling top layers of skin off in a way that's so gentle you won't even notice, giving you plumper, brighter, more youthful skin, whilst controlling sebum production to help prevent spots. There's also hyaluronic acid to fully hydrate the skin, and a powerful peptide to repair skin, and restore key proteins - all of which works on evening out skin texture, and making me a whole lot happier when my makeup glides on like I'm in a smooth-skinned dream.

I would definitely recommend trying this if you're looking for the perfect night cream that will give you softer, younger looking skin in the morning, without the irritation that some retinols can cause. Time will tell the extent to which it helps with my skin-ageing concerns and blemishes, I'd say after a month of solid-use it's doing a pretty impressive job already.
