OM SkinCare Event

OM Skincare

I've seen the beautiful white and gold OM Skincare packaging around and wanted to try it, not that you should judge a beauty product by it's bottles - as lovely as they may look in the bathroom, the proof is in the product itself. This is an interesting luxury range, part medical and part natural, but not completely one or the other. Founded by Dr. Om Prawarisa (below), a scientist who previously worked for another beauty brand, she wanted to create universal skincare that adapts to all skin types in all climates. This makes the range perfect for travelling, but also for times in the UK when the summer is on and off, and on again several times a week. Which is what's happening right now; central heating on in July one minute, sunglasses and sandals the next.

Dr Om Prawarisa

This was a really laid-back event at the Charlotte Street Hotel, with candle-lit ambience (and iced-biscuits, check out that metallic gold icing!), and it was great to get to speak to the lovely Dr. Om in person and try out all the products. I love how light everything feels, and how it smells fresh and delicate, without heavy scent. Om Skincare is about returning Chi Energy to the skin to restore radiance, using powerful ingredients. I like this combination of scientific know-how and ancient wisdom, and there are definitely ingredients, like hand-picked seaweed that will work for all skin types. I'm impressed with the Invisible Finish Primer (£42.50), which looks like a tinted moisturiser but truly blends out into your skin tone (trust me, I'm super pale), and the Miracle Serum (£68.50) that left my hand feeling so soft, even hours after I'd left the event. We were each given a Konjac Sponge (£8), which I cannot wait to use - it's like nature's Clarisonic Brush, and the No-Line Nourishing Cream (£55) to treat and prevent fine lines around the eyes and lips. I need to literally soak my eye area in this.

Om Skincare is currently exclusively available at the shop I don't like to mention, so hopefully it will become available elsewhere soon (for me, I mean). I'll get back to you with a review on the No-Line Nourishing Cream after I've been using it for a few weeks, I'm honestly excited as this looks like an amazing range.
