Body Shop Drops Of Youth

Body Shop Drops Of Youth Range

If I could turn back time, Cher style, I would definitely wear sunscreen more often, and never ever, EVER, have any 'lazy days' when it came to my skincare regime. Until someone can invent the Flux Capacitor for reals, there's skincare to help target damage and renew what was once lovely and youthful. Not that anyone should be ashamed of ageing, I'm loving being everyday a step closer to a free London Oyster card (so jealous of my mum's Freedom Pass), and all the knowledge and wisdom that age brings is worth every line and sun spot on my face. That being said, walking into a meeting or a party full of strangers when my face is looking its radiant best is something that would be foolish to scoff at. I was thrilled to be gifted some of the Body Shop's Drops of Youth range, my very own fountain of youth.

Body Shop Drops of Youth

A real hero for me from the range has been the Youth Cream, a light fluffy moisturiser infused with stem cells from three plants. This sinks in beautifully before applying makeup, and it smells great. I like the heavy green glass jar with metal label, it looks way more expensive than some of Body Shop's ranges. I also saw instant results from the Bouncy Sleeping Mask (above), the weirdest texture of mask I've ever tried. It's like a putty, and when applied you think this is not going to penetrate the top layer of skin, surely? Upon waking, skin is softer to the touch and there's not speck of bouncy putty on the pillows. I also tried the Eye Concentrate, which has a roller-ball style applicator that's very cooling and soothing, especially when kept in the fridge. Wonderblur is a primer to wear over moisturiser and under makeup to blur any imperfections such as large open pores and pigmentation that give skin a less than youthful look. Containing edelweiss stem cells, this is an incredibly hydrating primer with good coverage, making it perfect for more mature skin. I'm honestly really impressed with this range, hooray for the wonder of plants, and here's to looking radiant whilst comfortably embracing getting older.
