November Beauty Favourites

Too Faced Supergoop Anastasia Beverley Hills Merumaya

November started off being so mild that spiders thought it was perfectly acceptable for them to brazenly stroll around homes like it's summer, and now suddenly the winter has been switched on and it's positively brass monkeys out there. Now I'm fully needing hand cream and lip balm like never before. For me, the best lip moisturiser is still Eve Lom's, though I feel like I can only use it at home - balm pots you have to dip your finger in to when you use the London underground and walk around the UK's dirtiest city is a no go hygiene-wise. Is that just me? For hands I'm ridiculously into Supergoop's hand cream, which not only protects hands with SPF40 and a moisture barrier, but over time it also brightens them, evens skin tone, and corrects sun spots. Perfect for protecting hands against the cold winds and UV rays that contribute to skin ageing.

Exciting natural brand Merumaya sent me some of their Melting Cleansing Balm and Beauty Oil (which I reviewed here) and after reading in that blog post that I used them with another brand's face cleanser, they quick as a flash sent me some of their Luxury Facial Wash. This is not only great PR service, but I'm so thankful as it's been bloody brilliant for helping my weird combination skin battle both blemishes and dry patches. I really recommend this brand, everything smells and feels great, and works a treat. This week (from 23rd - 30th) they are going all out for Black Friday by reducing their Moisture Marvels set from £57 to £23, and for an additional £5 you can buy a full size Pure Radiance Mask that usually costs £19.50. What better time to get acquainted with this ace brand! (And to get some bargains for Christmas presents).

For makeup I've been cheering myself up with lots of colour. Pink lips courtesy of Too Faced's Melted liquid lipstick in Peony (on sale at Debenhams at the moment). It's a long lasting formula that doesn't dry your lips, and I love how cute this shade is - like Barbie having a more subtle day. I'm in love with the Anastasia Beverly Hills World Traveller palette, which I ordered from Sephora as it's sold out at Cult Beauty now. This is fab for everything from glittery smoky eyes this Christmas, to yummy matte cocoa creases with that Morocco shade. Pink Champagne and Chic are both really pretty lid colours that add satin prettiness, whilst the glitter in Heirloom makes it perfect for a purple smoky party eye. It's small and lightweight with a cardboard case; the ideal palette for the world traveller, indeed.

Finally, two candles that have been rocking my November world! COCOFOUR very kindly sent me two from their collection: the very winter-appropriate Fireside and the sweeter than candy Coconut, Orange and Vanilla. I cannot begin to tell you how great these smell, even with their lids off and unlit they are fragrant. They look really chic, and COCOFOUR have a huge range of styles and scents to choose from. Starting at £12 for these small glass jar ones, and £20 for matte white glass containers, they go up to £28 for mega candles with 60 hours of burning time. They also do kitchen candles and diffusers. Candle lovers can relax knowing that soy candles are generally better for your health, and will prevent any burn marks on your walls (though always keep candles a safe distance away from anything, you don't want this fiasco to happen to you). If you want to try the scent of a crackling wood fire, a fresh meadow, or several fruity and sweet-smelling choices, you can get free shipping on orders over £20 at the moment with the code FREESHIPPING20. That's your Christmas stocking fillers sorted.
