MAC Mineralize Skinfinish In Lightscapade And Soft & Gentle

Everyone is currently raving about MAC's new Cinderella range. If, like me, you follow a lot of beauty bloggers on Twitter, you probably wouldn't have been able to get through last week without your timeline being rammed with excited tweet-squeals (tweels?) about the online launch last Friday. This was promptly followed by twellows (tweet-bellows, keep up) when it sold out in hours. I'm not overly psyched about this range; it's not the glittery, sparkly Disney collab of my dreams. But when it hits stores next week I might take a closer look, if it doesn't sell out on day one. I'm definitely interested in the iridescent pressed powder, which MAC does well. If you can't get your hands on any, here's another two highlighters from their permanent collection that I recommend. 

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade (top) and Soft & Gentle are two beauties, the former being a silvery sheen perfect for highlighting cheeks bones, brow bones, and the cupid's bow. Whilst Soft & Gentle is peachy-gold and works well as a shimmery bronzer for when my fair skin is tanned (not often, I'll admit - I'm very fair. See swatch below), and I also like it for adding a shimmery layer to copper and brown eye shadows. Lightscapde is very similar to Guerlain's Meteorites pearls, but much more sparkly. 

These two highly pigmented beauties are definitely in my top ten highlighters, and I'm wondering if anything in the Cinderella collection can trump them for shimmer-sparkle (sharkle?... okay, I'll stop this now). In short, don't be disappointed if you miss out on anything in the Cinderella range, or in fact any of their limited edition collections, because MAC always has very similar, if not totally the same, products in their permanent pieces. Just sayin'...
