Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush

If you buy one beauty product this weekend I highly recommend you make it the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush - a gorgeous blusher and highlighter that manages to colour and brighten in one swirly swoop of a brush. Hourglass' Ambient Lighting Powder is a staple of many makeup bags, and this blush uses the powder's amazing ability to light the skin, whilst adding a flush of colour. There are six in the range (I have Diffused Heat, above), each one providing a different way to 'light' the skin - giving it everything from an ethereal glow to a luminous flush. As a pale person I'm hesitant about blush and highlighter combos; too much colour and I look clownish, but not enough highlighter and it won't reflect any light on to my skin. However, a sweep of Ambient Lighting Blush gives me a good, healthy-looking glow with effective light reflective pigments. It's not sparkly, and it's not in any way orange (also a no-no for us pale and interesting types). I'd really like to try some of the other shades as I'm loving Diffused Heat. I'm becoming quite a fan of Hourglass in general - pricey, but fantastic quality. It's also a brand with some of the most ridiculously pretty products on the market.
