Crafternoon Cabaret

Crafternoon Cabaret

If you like any of the following things: crafting, watching fun cabaret acts, and drinking tea (or wine) with cake, then you need to get along to Crafternoon Cabaret pronto - you get to do ALL of the above there! The lovely organisers invited me to come to their Halloween session, and I was giddy with excitement! I'm ALL about the spooky season, so getting to focus on a Halloween craft activity whilst being entertained by macabre performances sounded like the best afternoon ever.

On arrival you choose a table and have the craft task explained to you. We were making Halloween masks, and it's all very easy with templates and materials laid out. We sat at the front because our gorgeous host Hannah assured us today's acts weren't selecting any audience members to generally embarrass. Unfortunately my poor sister did get hoisted up onstage by The Twins Macabre. You can see what happened in the video below - and also witness the jaw-droppingly (and hilariously) inappropes musical stylings of the twins.

The second act was Marcus Reeves, a glittery-faced singer-songwriter with an amazing oeuvre and lots of camp banter. These were both perfect acts for a spooky themed crafting session. If you want to see how, ahem, amazing my mask looked, or take a look at the beautiful venue (The Hospital Club), take a look at our little vlog. I can't recommend Crafternoon Cabaret enough, what a briliant idea for getting crafters together and making it even more fun.
