Rachel Gale Pop-Up Launch

Rachel Gale Pop-Up Launch

Screen-printer and illustrator, Rachel Gale, not only owns the best fringe in all of London, but now she's also the proud owner of her first pop-up shop in Broadway Market, London Fields. If you like designs that can only be described as utter cuteness, nice bits for the home, and some chitter-chat with the nicest shop-owner of all time, you'd be wise to catch Rachel's pop-up before it pops-off. I was lucky to be invited to the launch party where I had fun with some fellow blogging ladies. HOW cute is the 3D pencil on the shop sign? And the tree branch in the window! London needs more creative boutiques like this.

Inside we were treated to the fanciest canapes I ever did see, plus homemade damson gin served with prosecco. That's right - prosecco, the drink of champions.

Rachel (pictured above right) was having a whale of a time. I think every single one of her friends came to support her, and everyone was loving her work! Also pictured is the amazing Jayne from She is the Revolution who helped organise the party (and made that killer damson gin!).

Rachel had lit the place from the floor, giving us some lovely mood lighting that's actually quite flattering. Take note of this please, scarily bright shops!

I bought the sofest, cutest babygrow for my niece, illustrated with Rachel's bear design, the same one on these fab totes. She is gonna be soooo cuddly in it!

As the gin and prosecco flowed, and more and more people arrived, we ended up spilling out onto the street. It was such a nice vibe, and Rachel and her mates were the friendliest bunch. I mostly chatted with Sarah from The Laughing Medusa and Jesse of Hecticophilia, whilst Jasiminne from Posh, Broke and Bored used her boyfriend, Henry, as an outdoor chair. Thanks Rachel for a great evening, and everyone check out her shop!
